A home for your work that plays the music, shows the art, and sends people to the places you get paid
Rune builds custom websites for musicians, bands, painters, and photographers anywhere in the country. They are designed around your work, not a template, and run on Skal, our editor, so you post a release or a new piece yourself.
- Solo musicians & bands
- Composers
- Painters & illustrators
- Photographers
- Sculptors & ceramics
- Record labels
- Producers & studios
- Galleries
- Teaching artists
In a side-by-side Google Lighthouse test on mobile, a typical template site took 9.1 seconds to load. A Rune custom build took 2.8.
Websites built around the work
Every site is custom, hand-built, and yours to keep.
Music that plays on the page
A player built into the site, so a visitor hears the record without leaving for Spotify, with the streaming links right there when they want to save it.
Releases and a discography
Each album and single with its art, credits, and links to every platform. Post the next one yourself the day it drops.
Shows and tickets
A dates page that is easy to update from the van, with ticket links and a past-shows archive. Bandsintown or Songkick sync if you use them.
A portfolio that shows the work right
For visual artists, full-size images with correct color, series and collections, and a page per piece with dimensions, medium, and availability.
Prints, merch, and commissions
Sell prints or merch with real checkout, take commission inquiries with a form that asks the right questions, and sell direct instead of giving a cut to a marketplace.
One link for everything
Your domain as the link in every bio, pointing to streaming, shop, shows, and mailing list, on a page you own instead of a link-in-bio service.
Questions artists and musicians ask us
Can the site play my music without sending people to Spotify?
Yes. We build a player into the page so the record plays right there. Streaming links sit next to it for people who want to save it to their library.
Can I update shows and releases myself?
Yes. Dates, releases, and new work are editable in Skal from a phone. Add a show, upload the cover art, and publish.
I sell prints and originals. Can the site handle that?
Yes. A real shop with checkout, editions and sizes for prints, and sold-out status for originals. Commission inquiries come through a form that asks for size, medium, and timeline.
Will it look like every other artist site?
No. Every site is designed around the work, from the typography to how the gallery or player behaves. If your music is dark and spare, the site is too.
Do I need a mailing list?
It is the one audience you own. We add a sign-up tied to your email service, and the site becomes the place people land from the list.
