Websites for medical practices

A medical practice website that gets patients to the right provider, location, and portal

Rune builds custom websites for medical practices and clinics across the country. Providers, locations, and services are easy to find, the patient portal is one click away, forms are built with privacy in mind, and it runs on Skal, our editor, so your staff keep hours and provider listings current.

What a patient wants to do without calling

Each one is a page, a form or a button on your site, for primary care, specialty clinics and multi-location groups.

Found by what they need

Every service on its own page

People search for the thing, not the category. Each of these gets a page with its own copy, its own questions answered, and booking at the bottom.

What your site does

What a medical practice website has to do

A doctor checking a patient's blood pressureThe visit

A page per provider

Credentials, specialties, languages, which location they see patients at, and a photo, each on its own page so patients can find a specific doctor by name.

Locations that stand on their own

Each clinic gets its page with hours, parking, phone, and the providers who practice there, plus its own Google Business Profile, so each location shows up in its own area.

Patient portal, front and center

Results, messages, refills, and appointment requests belong in your portal. The site makes it one tap from every page, with plain instructions for first-time users.

Privacy-aware by design

The site collects contact details only. Anything clinical routes to the portal or your compliant intake vendor. No health information lands in a web form or an email inbox.

Insurance and what to bring

Accepted plans, self-pay information, and a first-visit checklist, written plainly, so front desk calls drop and patients show up prepared.

Accessible and fast

Built to WCAG accessibility guidelines and fast on a phone, because patients of every age and ability use it, often while not feeling well.

Why it is built this way

Patients come to the site for one of four things: the right provider, the right location, the portal, or what to bring. Each should be one tap from the home page.

Forms never store health details on the site, pages pass accessibility checks, and the whole thing opens in under three seconds on a phone. Those are not features to a patient. They are the reason they stay.

FAQ

Questions practice managers ask us

Is the website HIPAA compliant?

We build the public site so that it never handles protected health information: contact forms ask for name and phone only, and scheduling, intake, and messaging run through your EHR portal or a compliant vendor we connect to. That keeps the website out of scope, but a practice is made compliant by its policies, training, and vendors, not by its website, and your compliance officer should review the setup.

Can we manage providers and locations ourselves?

Yes. The site runs on Skal, our editor, so staff add a new provider, change a clinic's hours, or post a holiday closure and publish, without a ticket to a developer.

Can the site integrate with our EHR?

For patient-facing tasks, the site links into the portal and online scheduling your EHR already provides. Deeper integrations, such as provider directories synced from your systems, are custom work we can scope.

We have a dozen locations. Is that a problem?

No. Location and provider pages are generated from one set of data, so adding the thirteenth clinic is a form, not a project. Each one gets its own page and structured data.

Do you work with practices outside California?

Yes. Rune is based in Chico, California, and builds for practices and clinics anywhere in the US.
