What a patient wants to do without calling

Each one is a page, a form or a button on your site, for therapists, counselors and group practices.

Found by what they need

Every service on its own page

People search for the thing, not the category. Each of these gets a page with its own copy, its own questions answered, and booking at the bottom.

What your site does

What a therapy practice website has to do

A counselor listening and taking notes in a sessionThe session

A calm, honest tone

Someone reading a therapy site is often having a hard week. The design is quiet, the copy is plain, and nothing pushes. It should feel like the first session will.

Privacy-aware contact

A short contact form that asks for a name, a way to reach you, and nothing clinical, with a notice that it is not for emergencies and a crisis line shown nearby. For intake, we connect to your compliant practice software.

Insurance and fees, clearly

Which plans you accept, whether you offer sliding scale, and how superbills work, on a page people can find. Fewer first calls that end at "do you take my insurance?"

Telehealth and in-person

Where you see clients, which states you are licensed in for telehealth, and how a video session works, so out-of-town clients know they can book.

A page per clinician

For group practices, each therapist gets a profile with specialties, approach, availability, and a photo, so a client can pick the right fit rather than the first opening.

Found by specialty and place

Pages for the specialties you want more of, structured data for your practice, and a Google Business Profile tuned to the right category, so "EMDR therapist" searches in your area find you.

Why it is built this way

Someone reading this page is deciding whether to reach out at all. The site's job is to make that feel safe, then make it one step.

Forms never store health details on the site, pages pass accessibility checks, and the whole thing opens in under three seconds on a phone. Those are not features to a patient. They are the reason they stay.

FAQ

Questions therapists ask us

Is the website HIPAA compliant?

A website alone cannot make a practice compliant, and we do not claim it does. What we do is build the site so it never collects protected health information: the contact form asks for contact details only, and intake, scheduling, and messaging go through a compliant vendor such as your practice management system, which we connect to the site. Your compliance officer or consultant has the final say.

Can clients book directly from the site?

Yes, through the scheduling tool in your practice software or a compliant booking service. The site links to it so a client can request a first appointment without calling.

I am not comfortable with a salesy website.

Neither are we, for this work. The copy describes who you help and how you work, in your voice, and leaves the decision with the reader. You approve every word.

Can I update my availability and specialties myself?

Yes. The site runs on Skal, our editor, so you switch "accepting new clients" on or off, add a specialty, or update your bio yourself and publish.

Do you build for practices outside California?

Yes. Rune is based in Chico, California, and builds for therapists and group practices anywhere in the US, by phone, email, and video.
