AI automation

The busywork, handled. A person still signs off.

Every business has work that is repetitive but not quite mechanical: reading an email and deciding who it belongs to, pulling the numbers out of a supplier invoice, turning a site visit into a quote, writing the same status update for the fifth client this week. Classic automation could not do it because it needed judgment. Current AI models can do it well, as long as something checks the result.

Rune builds those workflows. They run inside the tools you already use, they hand the output to a person for a yes or a fix instead of acting on their own, and they log what they did. We build them the way we build everything else: scoped, quoted as one number, delivered with documentation, and owned by you.

What is included

AI process automation

Scoped and quoted as one number before work starts, and yours to keep when it is done.

Intake and email triage

Requests from forms, email, and voicemail transcripts read, classified, and routed to the right person with the key facts pulled out, so nothing waits in a shared inbox.

Document processing

Invoices, applications, contracts, and forms turned into structured records in your accounting or CRM system, with the original attached and anything uncertain flagged for review.

Drafting with approval

Quotes, proposals, follow-ups, and reports drafted from your templates and your data, then approved, edited, or thrown away by the person whose name goes on them. Skal, our own CMS, works this way.

Agents for multi-step work

Tasks that cross several systems, like checking stock, pricing, and drafting the reply, run as a sequence with a checkpoint where a person signs off before anything is sent or charged.

Built into your tools

Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, HubSpot, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Shopify, and most systems with an API. No new inbox to check.

Measured and safe

Every run is logged, costs are capped, and sensitive data stays with vendors that commit in writing not to train on it. You get a monthly report of what ran, what it cost, and what people corrected.

FAQ

Questions we get about this

What is the difference between this and AI consulting?

Consulting is the audit and the plan: which tasks are worth automating and how. Automation is the build. Many clients start with the audit on our AI consulting page; some already know the workflow they want and start here.

Will the AI act on its own?

Not unless you decide it should, task by task. Our default is that anything customer-facing, financial, or irreversible waits for a person to approve. Internal sorting and drafting can run unattended once you trust it.

How accurate is it?

It depends on the task, which is why we test every workflow against a batch of your real examples before it goes live and report the error rate honestly. The approval step exists because no model is right every time.

What does it cost to run?

Usage-based AI services bill per use, and at small-business volumes that is usually a few dollars to a few tens of dollars a month per workflow. We cap spend in the build so a runaway loop cannot surprise you, and the monthly report shows the actual figure.

Do we own it?

Yes. The code, the prompts, the configuration, and the accounts are yours, documented well enough that another engineer could maintain them. Nothing is locked to Rune.

Can you work with our existing developer or agency?

Yes. We can build a workflow for them to run, review one they built, or hand over a working system with documentation. For agencies, the same work is available under your brand through our white-label service.
